Lead Planner and Coordinator
Aneesa serves as the lead planner and coordinator with the assitance of Nathan, Eleanor, Emma and Catherine. If Aneesa is already booked on your wedding date (check availability page), Eleanor and Emma may be available to serve together as your day-of coordinators.
Aneesa Glines I was born and raised in NC and plan on never leaving! I have always loved the beauty, diversity and Southern hospitality NC has to offer. Since I was little, I would watch every wedding themed TLC show and I wanted to go to every wedding my parents got invited to. As an elementary schooler, I planned elaborate birthday parties for myself each year with invitations, a timeline and decor. Little did I know the years of "practice" would pay off! The things I love most are spending time with family and friends, musical theatre, community service, children, blankets, and anything with chocolate. I studied Music Education at UNC Chapel Hill and my musical theatre background equips me with a loud and clear speaking voice for directing the wedding party and guests, the knowledge of how to run a rehearsal, and the musical ear for perfectly timing the processional. My test result on the Myers-Briggs personality test confirms that I am 99% extraverted, which allows me to joyfully interact with vendors and guests for 12 hours straight with a smile on my face. I am excited each and every weekend by the challenge of running a wedding perfectly to the timeline created with the couple, while creatively addressing any last minute surprises that may arise. No matter how many weddings I am fortunate to be a part of, I still get giddy when I see the bride in her dress, loudly cheer when the couple has their first kiss, cry at the sweetness of the toasts, and already begin to miss the couple when I line them up for their exit. I feel so blessed to be the one supporting you on your special day.

Eleanor Chappell I’m a Raleigh native, East Carolina pirate (arggghhh), dog lover, lifelong dancer, and hopeless romantic! I love the South and am so happy to call it home. I joined Harmony Weddings and Events in the Fall of 2015 and have loved every minute of it. Weddings are one of the most incredible, intimate, and memorable experiences and I’m honored that we get to be a part of making them so special for each of our clients. My favorite part of a wedding would be that beautiful moment when the couple finally sees each other from across the aisle. Witnessing pure love makes my job so enjoyable. I am a proud “neat freak” who loves color coded planners, to-do lists, and finding new ways to keep myself organized. My background in dance assists me to use the creativity it taught me with each wedding I plan and coordinate. I look forward to working with you in creating your dream come true!
Emma Macadam I'm a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill but am originally from Atlanta, Georgia! I joined the Harmony Weddings team in the fall of 2016. My hobbies include studying Spanish, traveling, dancing, cooking, and organizing anything I can! Since I was young, I have loved organizing and planning anything I can. I would organize family trips, dinners, and little shows for my family and friends. I also grew up attending all of my older cousins' weddings and loved how each wedding distinctly represented each of my cousins’ personalities and styles. At my sister’s wedding in August, I was drawn to the wedding planner and her various tasks. I knew forming a strong relationship with the bride and groom, staying organized and on top of detail to help create the perfect wedding day was a perfect job for me! Amazingly, I met Aneesa not long after. I am so excited to be a part of this incredibly driven and eager group of individuals, and cannot wait to play a role in your wedding!
Catherine Shocket I'm a Chapel Hill based event planner, educator, actor, artist, and adventurer. I'm an artist at heart and an organizer in mind. I love hiking, traveling, creating art, and planning weddings! My background in event planning is in theatre. I joined the Harmony Weddings family in the summer of 2016. I've planned years of full-scale theatre seasons, complete with play festivals, world premieres, workshops, special events, and experimental work. I've directed, produced, stage-managed, choreographed, designed, and acted in a lifetime of productions. Alongside theatre management for adult artists, I also design, coordinate, and teach kids’ drama camps! Working with children has trained me to approach each day with creativity, endless kindness, and a healthy dose of humor. I'm a go-with-the-flow, flexible, last-minute-emergency expert. As a queer wedding planner in the south, I can’t wait to make every couple's wedding perfect. Love is love is love is love.
